Day 3

Buenos Noches,

Now this sounds just wrong, but it is the same old, same old. Which is really a good thing. We are getting to many school per team per day, having a great time sharing our faith and loving on kids. It is just so incredible to watch them recieve their books and start reading them. Then they ask us for more for their family, which we are not to give out, but we have been giving them to kids that are on the other side of the fences of these school. It is strange that the schools all have razor wire or barbed wire on the top of their fences. Glad we do not have that in the states.

Tomorrow, 2 teams will be traveling to a village about 30-45 minutes and staying there all day until 8 PM. The other 2 teams will stay local going to schools here and both groups will be doing the God-Man movie in the evening.

Prayer Requests

1 We have been having illness go through some of us today. A lot of vomiting and diarrhea by a few. Grace and Elizabeth are still under the weather tonight but Andy, Tori, Scott, CJ amd Adam are on the other side. Adam is our star of the day because it came upon him while we were out at a school and he ran off, threw up, came back, did the drama and gave his life application without skipping a beat. God is good. That said pray the V/D stops with just those 7.

2 Due to the earthquakes of the past few weeks, the tremors that followed the big one of two weeks ago have damaged the main water line here in Comayagua and they may cancel schools tomorrow because of that. Pray that they will be open and that the water supply stays healthy for the people.

3 Continue to pray for our travel around the area.

4 Pray we each stay pliable to what God is doing in us and that we make time to listen for Him.

THANKS AGAIN for your prayers for us. We are loving what God is showing us and how He is stretching each of us.

One more thing .... please do comment on here, i tell each teen when they have a little love from home and many want to hear that you are praying for them.

  2. Hey Stacey!
Thanks for the many posts! Sounds like God is continuing to use each of you in powerful ways! Married life here in Toledo has been great! I'm still on the job search, but God has been so faithful! had a neat opportunity to share about my faith with a manager at Blue Water Grill during an interview....Only God could work that out! Ashley is working her last of three days straight tonight...then four days off. Know that we love you and are praying for you!

  11. Thunderstorms, earthquakes, illness, broken water lines.....

Sounds like everything is going exactly as planned!

    1Peter 1:6-8
6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Keep up the good work all of you.

    We love you Heather.

Sam said hurry home so she can go to Chipotle with you! Ali said to tell you she is missing you too. Dad and Grandpa are on a river somewhere in Tennessee. : ) We are taking advantage of our "girl time" and watching lots of chick flicks and eating loads of cheesy stuff! Liv says "hi" and she thinks you are the best!

  14. Hello All, Praying for your health and witness to others. It is so exciting to hear of the amount of children you are reaching.

Hannah...we are all missing you. Lizzy went camping with Janey for the weekend. The rest of us have been busy at home, enjoying the sun and swimming at friends. We'll look forward to having everyone back home. FYI: We all called Graham on his birthday.
