Hola! Esta semana ha estado fantastica!
Those are the words of the birthday girl today, this week has been fantastic. The day has been filled with activity. Two teams were sent about an hour away to a small rural village area, situated at the base of a mountain range. The roads were very rough and we got stopped by the police, who asked our driver what we were doing. After they explained about the presentations and the books we would be passing out to school, the police asked for books to give their children. How awesome is our God. You know we do our stuff in schools, but the day was also filled with dancing in the street with kids, sitting on a horse that a native Honduran was riding by us, while we were dancing in the street and he stopped, then let the girls get on his horse. Getting peel and pull twislers to go in our nose and out our mouths.Playing soccer in the pouring rain with kids at the small village right before the God-Man movie tonight. Using an outhouse that had a toilet bowl, no seat, but was surround by curtains, not walls. O that was so strange. And the biggest thing was finding marijuana next to the church we were showing the movie at, which the school was right there too. Now we are just back to the hotel and we have not eaten dinner as of yet and it is almost 10 PM. The other two teams we have not even yet seen tonight, so I will add more when I hear from them. All the teens are sitting around me yelling out what to put in this post, so I hope you enjoyed it.Tomorrow we have a day at the market and church in the evening. It is to be a good long Honduran service.
Pray for Abby as she is the only one sick today and she got it bad. She has spent the day in bed as far as I can tell.
Pray that what we have seen and done these past 4 days will continue to work in use as we continue to interact with the Hondurans.
Lyndsay gives a shout out to her mom for her Birthday tomorrow, which as of this moment in your time zone is her birthday, so Happy Birthday Robin!
Remember to post comments ..... the kids are loving hearing stuff from home!

Hola Team!
ReplyDeleteFYI Northgate Big Serve had over 100 children loved on and seeds were sown on all types of soil. May God water and grow those seeds of the Word of God. We continue to pray for you all that God's Spirit will protect you from illness and that His Holy Spirit will move through you to those who are in visual and hearing distance. God will get the glory for this work He has started. Lyndsay, Molly has not once slept in your room since you have been gone! She misses you terribly. We love you and are praying for you Lyndsay and for the whole team! With much love,
Randy and Robin
Sounds like all are having a life experience. Well wishes to Abby. Your updates are wonderful and keeps my mind at ease with my boys so far away from home. It makes me appreciate them even more being gone with no contact or hearing a voice or getting a text I miss them terribly. Jake & Jack the dogs have driven me nuts, they miss you guys bad, Tilly has not eaten since you have been gone and just does her crying thing. God Bless each and everyone and enjoy the rest of your time serving. See you when you get home. Love you Jake and Jack.
ReplyDeleteHope Abby is starting to feel better and no one else has succombed to the illness. Your experiences sound very exciting, I can't wait to hear more when you return home. Katie and Kendra, yes, your rooms are now clean, I wonder how long they will stay that way! Love you both very much and miss you. God Bless all.

Sounds like the team is growing closer as they share HIS word. Through the nose and out the mouth? Really? Ehhhwww! Thanks again for the Post Stacy, the smile and joyful thoughts that the update had delivered will carry through my day and get plenty of mileage as I share the team's story. It sounds like your outreach is expanding. You are literally "spreading the word" as God's message pours out of you, as evidenced by all you are coming in contact with. My prayers for the healing of poor Abby. May HE continue to watch over you all, protect you and guide you.
ReplyDeleteLove you Ross!
